The Plan

Ah, a plan could help my chances at surviving this mass resolution, eh?

Here’s what I was thinking:
January: start a dedicated writing project

February: learn to make pottery

March: learn how to glass fuse and make some funky art

April: learn how to mosaic and make fun functional art (ie: tables/frames/mirrors

May: work on gardening skills (including growing an herb garden from seeds)

June: FIRST MAJOR EDIT! June was also dedicated to gardening since I jumped into a 100+ square feet of dirt with the kind of ambition that consistently outruns available time in the day. Plus, gardening is good for the soul and is easier than learning the entire Spanish language in a month (June's previous goal). Spanish can wait... (especially since being conversational in a second language is necessary for upcoming PhD applications and it is only appropriate that anything school related = fodder for procrastination).

July: make some jewelry (and art) that is gift/sale quality (July Part B: actually use my abandoned Etsy account)

August: finally learn to play the guitar (as in, a full song or two)

September: dust off improv skills and join a troupe

October: develop cooking/baking skills

November: learn new knitting techniques/finish projects

December: wrap ups (put together creative portfolios, frame photos, host dinner parties with edible food, etc.)
Of course, this is subject to my crazy whims but hopefully having a plan will help me “center my chi” (as my better half would say:)
